The AM6-976E series provides 10 W of 976 nm light output and is available now via Pacer with high brightness 105 µm, 0.15 or 0.22 NA fibre. The main applications are pulsed fibre lasers and fibre amplifier systems.

The new higher output diode includes a thermistor for temperature monitoring, supporting precision wavelength control at 976nm. It is available in a compact 6-pin Telcordia-qualified, fully hermetic housing and has an expected mean time to failure exceeding 100,000 hours.

Alfalight believes that the pulsed fibre laser market will grow dramatically in the coming years, and intends to continue to offer a stream of solutions centred at 976nm.
