LED Fibre Optic Illuminator

The OTFI-0100 from PerkinElmer is a high performance LED fibre optic illuminator which couples high intensity white light from multiple LEDs into fibre optic light guides ranging from 3-10mm in diameter. Applications include microscopy illumination, vision inspection and boroscope illumination. The OTFI-0100 exceeds the brightness of a 150W halogen lamp, and provides an energy-efficient, maintenance-free alternative to halogen and metal-halide fibre optic illuminators. It provides a consistent colour temperature over time, and when the light is dimmed, resulting in a more consistent visual appearance. The very long lifetime of 25,000 hours is 125 times that of a typical 150W halogen lamp.

LBI Illuminators

Illuminators from Light Beam Industries collect light from an LED and transfer that light into a usable medium, usually optical fibre. LBI offers 5W, 25W and 100W illuminators.
